About Alex

My name is Alex. I am going to be a junior next year and I joined UB because I knew that the opportunities in this program would help me in the future. I knew that other people were also going to be in the program so I thought that this would be a great time to get to know other people. Getting to know other people is my favorite part of this program. I like to talk and hang out with my friends and family. When I am at home, I will usually play video games, watch my favorite movies, go on the computer, watch TV, listen to music, sleep, draw, or if I am SERIOUSLY bored, I will lay on the floor and stare at my ceiling and think about stuff. Some of my favorite video games are GTA, Gears Of War, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and more. I hate new music because it is terrible. I mainly listen to old school rap and 40's-50's music (like jazz, swing, and doo-wop.) I like all genres of music but only specific people, for example, I am not a huge fan of country music, but I like Johnny Cash. My favorite artists of these two genres are Tupac, Cypress Hill, and NWA, Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg and some others. For "oldies", I like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, and more. Some of my favorite movies are Good Fellas, A Bronx Tale, Heat, Casino, Bloodsport, Snatch, and No Country For Old Men. I still have not seen The Lion King, but my three favorite Disney movies are Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Tarzan, and The Little Mermaid.

At school, I am not involved in any sports (I don't like sports) or any clubs and things like that because I don't get along with a lot of people at my school. Mainly because they are mean and stuff. I usually just hang out and talk about different things with my friends. The only problem is, all of my really good friends (that go to the same school as me) were all seniors and graduated this year, so they are all gone. I don't really do much at home, and when I have friends come over, they don't want to go out anywhere. They just want to stay home and play video games or go on the computer. So really, UB is all I have to look forward to for the next couple of years. This is the only time where I actually have friends that WANT to do something instead of staring at ceilings. After I graduate high school, I am not too sure of what I want to do. I know I want to go to college in LA, but I don't know which one yet. I would like to work in the medical field. After college, I want to move to LA or New York and live a long and hopefully successful life.
